East Providence Police say death near bike path was not suspicious

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The East Providence Police Department said that an unattended death that occurred near the East Bay Bike Path was not suspicious.

Police said that the death, which occurred behind Harbor View Manor, was erroneously identified as a homicide on social media.

The department said that the incident did draw a large police and fire presence.
