Stabbing suspect now wanted for murder, police locate his car

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The vehicle operated by a murder suspect  has been located and is in the custody of the East Providence Police. 

The white Jeep Grand Cherokee  was located in the Town of Johnston. The 29-year-old suspect, James Stevens, is still at large. 

Stevens is wanted in connection to the murder of 24-year-old Jasper Williams of East Providence. Williams had been on life support after he was stabbed on December 10th. Police said he died several days later.
