East Providence students celebrate Earth Day

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Agnes B. Hennessey Elementary School students and the city of East Providence teamed up to celebrate Earth Day!

Twenty-eight trees were planted around the perimeter of the school and its playground.

The project was funded through a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service and Urban and Community Forestry Inflation Reduction Act Grant.

Earth Day falls on April 22nd every year.
