East Providence to get new skatepark

East Providence, RI – A playground in East Providence is getting a fresh new look. The Central Ave Playground will soon be transformed into a skatepark for local kids where they can safely go skateboarding, bike riding, etc.
The K-Rob Foundation, an organization that helps underprivileged kids and the city of East Providence spent years rounding up the $300,000 needed to build the skatepark.
The skatepark is scheduled to open by the end of the summer.
