East Providence Turkey Trot runs on despite rain

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The East Providence Recreation Department held its annual Turkey Trot on Saturday.

The event featured both a 5K and a 10K run, and prizes for winners including the Edward Cronan Sr. Memorial Trophy awarded to the first East Providence resident finisher of the 5K.

Organizers aid that donations for the Hope and Faith Food Pantry were accepted during the run.
