Economy Self Storage employee arrested for allegedly stealing items from storage units

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) – The Coventry Police Department announced Monday they arrested a former employee of Economy Self Storage on Industrial Dr. who allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of items from storage units.

Police searched the residence of Michael McGill, 59, and found several items believed to have been taken from storage units over the past several years. These items include baseball and novelty cards, sports memorabilia, rare comic books, action figures, rock music memorabilia, and other collectible items.

Coventry Police ask anyone who utilizes Economy Self Storage to check their units for items that may be missing.
