PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Due to supply issues, Trader Joe’s is limiting egg purchases to one dozen per customer per day.
This comes as the bird flu spread has led to supply chain issues.
The egg limit is going into effect at all Trader Joe’s locations across the country.
Officials from the corporate office said it will help to ensure that all customers are able to get their eggs.
Trader Joe’s isn’t the only store that has seen shortages of egg cartons..
Along with supply concerns, the price of eggs is also booming, with the price jumping nearly 50 percent in the last year.

More than 1,500 outbreaks have been reported, but the CDC said transmission to humans remains low.
