Elderly man dies after being struck by car in Barrington

BARRINGTON, R.I. (WLNE) — One man has succumbed to his injuries after being struck by a car on March 21.

Around 7:15 A.M. on Thursday, Barrington police responded to a call for a pedestrian who was struck by a car on Country Road.

The investigation revealed that a car traveling eastbound on Country Road struck the victim, Richard Stolorow, 78, of Riverside.

It was reported that there was no crosswalk at the location of the accident.

The victim was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries days later.

The operator of the vehicle remained on scene with the victim and cooperated with police.

Officials said the incident is still undergoing investigation.
