Elderly man hospitalized after crashing into Dollar Tree in Warwick

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — An elderly man was taken to the hospital after crashing into a building in Warwick on Monday.

The Warwick Fire Department said the man backed his car into the Dollar Tree on Warwick Avenue before hitting a tree across the street.

Witnesses told first responders the car attempted to make a turn after putting a hole in the building and drove across Warwick Avenue into the tree.

Officials said they believe the man avoided any serious injuries.
