Elderly man hospitalized after rollover crash in Attleboro

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — An elderly man was hospitalized after a rollover crash in Attleboro Tuesday afternoon, according to the Attleboro Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to Holden Street at Benefit Street around 1:30 p.m. for a report of a car that had rolled over.

At the scene, first responders found a car on its roof with “heavy damage,” according to the department.

The driver, a man in his 70’s, had to be extricated from the vehicle.

He was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the department, the car had struck a utility pole and caused a power outage in the area.

The National Grid responded to fix the damage and restore power.

Attleboro police are investigating the crash.
