Emmitt Holt Returns, David Duke Shines In PC Friars Win Over AS Tritons In Italy

FOSSOMBRONE, Italy — The Providence College men’s basketball team defeated the Adriatic Sea Dragons, 104-63, on Saturday in the Friars’ second game of a 10-day, four-game tour of Italy.  The Friars improved to 2-0 on the trip.

Freshman David Duke led the Friars with 19 points and six assists.  He was 2-3 from three-point territory and 8-14 (.571) from the field overall.  Senior Emmitt Holt led the team on the boards as he grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds.  He also added seven points in 20 minutes of action.

Other Friars in double figures were junior Alpha Diallo (17 points), freshman AJ Reeves (16 points), and freshman Kris Monroe (14 points).  

Sophomore Kalif Young added nine points and nine rebounds for the Friars. 

As a team, the Friars shot 42-87 (.483) from the field, including 12-29 (.414) from three-point territory.

The Friars will return to action on Wednesday, Aug. 22 versus the Rosetto Sharks at 11:30 am ET.
