‘Engineering issue’ on Route 6 in Dartmouth creates traffic

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Dartmouth Police Department said Wednesday that an unforeseen engineering issue at a construction site created a substantial traffic backup.

Police said as of 7 p.m., Wednesday, officers were at the intersection of Slocum Road and State Road directing traffic.

At  5:20 p.m., police said the issue caused traffic to back up substantially.

Further information about the nature of the issue was not released.
