Expert advises caution after Equifax breach

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The credit monitoring company Equifax said a giant cyber-security breach compromised the personal information of more than 143 million Americans last week.

Experts, like Vik Solem from MEI Security said you need to be concerned, even if you’ve never done business with Equifax.

The hack was discovered in late July and the company is now mailing notices to people whose credit cards were affected.
