Aaron Hernandez showed up, smiling, in Fall River Superior Court Monday.

He was there for a pre-trial hearing in the Odin Lloyd murder case. As soon as he walked in, Lloyd's mother was seen walking out in tears.

Hernandez was seen smiling at some points, mouthing “I love you” to his fiancee Shayanna Jenkins.

A judge heard arguments by the defense, accusing the District Attorney's Office of violating a gag order, which they said jeopardized the chances of the former Patriots tight end of getting  fair trial.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Lloyd back in June. Lloyd's family filed a wrongful death suit against Hernandez last week.
