Extreme Heat Finally Coming to an End!
After a four-day heatwave, the extreme temperatures are finally on the way out!
The dip comes as a cold front approaches us from the north, driving some showers and a thunderstorm or two along the way. Expect some (short-lived) rain here and there throughout the evening and nighttime hours. Lows will fall into the mid and upper 60s by morning.
Here’s the thing: just like in life, nothing in the world of weather is free, and we’ll pay a price for the cooler temperatures. Thursday remains mostly cloudy and we’ll have showers, and some pockets of heavy rain, on and off throughout the day. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s and low 70s, with a more comfortable feel to the air as well.
Friday, we keep a few showers around. It won’t be a washout, but it won’t be a dry day either. Highs will be in the mid 60s for the coast, and upper 60s and low 70s inland. With dew point temperatures remaining in the 50s, it still won’t feel too muggy outside.
That changes, however, as we head into the weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday will be sticky with showers, and a few thunderstorms possible as well.
