FAA: Laser pointed at aircraft flying near T.F. Green

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Federal Aviation Administration said Monday that a laser was pointed at an aircraft flying near Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport.

A pilot of an Embraer 175 regional jet reported the laser strike shortly after midnight, according to the FAA.

An FAA spokesperson told ABC 6 News that the aircraft was flying at 1,900 feet altitude and about five miles southwest of T.F. Green.

The FAA notified Warwick police.

No further information was immediately released.
