Fairhaven police investigating late night rollover

FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fairhaven Police Department said it is investigating a rollover motor vehicle crash that occurred Thursday night.

Lt. Kevin Kobza said that police and Fire EMS responded to the area of Main Street and North Street around 8 p.m.

First responders located a vehicle located on its side.

Preliminary investigation showed that the operator of the car lost control of the vehicle, swerved, struck the rear of a sedan, a curb, and utility poll, before finally rolling onto its side.

The driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old New Bedford man, was treated on the scene before being transported to St. Luke’s Hospital.

The two passengers in the sedan did not report any injuries.

Police said the incident is still under investigation.
