Fall River juvenile faces charges in alleged hit-and-run in stolen car

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) – A Fall River juvenile is accused of causing a hit-and-run crash in a stolen car, Dartmouth police said Sunday.
Officers received a call Friday claiming that a 2011 Hyundai Elantra crashed into the back of a 2016 Toyota Avalon on State Road and took off.
The caller said they followed the Hyundai onto Matty Lane, where it struck a tree.
Police on scene saw the Hyundai has been reported stolen out of Fall River on Oct. 7.
The driver, a female juvenile, was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for minor injuries to her face.
She was later released to her mother.
Police said she was charged with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating under the influence of drugs, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
