Fall River man arraigned in car wash murder case

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III said that a suspect in the case of a May shooting at a Fall River car wash has been arraigned.
Angelo Leo, of Fall River, was charged with murder, carrying an illegal firearm, assault with a dangerous weapon, malicious damage to a motor vehicle, and two counts of violating an abuse prevention order.
The 33-year-old is alleged to have shot and killed Jessenia Simmons, of New Bedford, at the Globe Car Wash in Fall River on May 29.
Quinn said that Leo had initially fled from the scene but later turned himself in to police in Tiverton, Rhode Island.
He is expected back in court on Oct. 24.
