SOMERSET, Mass. (WLNE) — The Somerset Police Department said a Fall River man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a Dollar Tree and stealing over $2,600 early December.

On Dec. 4, around 11:04 p.m., officers were sent to the Dollar Tree on County Street for a silent burglar alarm activation.

At the scene, Somerset police said there were no signs of forced entry to the building, and that there was “nothing to arise suspicion.”

The next day, a Dollar Tree supervisor called police and reported that the store was broken into, and that $2,686.50 had been stolen overnight.

During the investigation, the Somerset detectives concluded that the suspect had to have inside knowledge regarding the business, as well as keys to enter the building.

Additionally, investigators believed the suspect had known the codes to enter the building, which management personnel would have.

After investigation, an arrest warrant was filed for 27-year-old Isaiah Toure, who was the store manager at the time.

Toure was arrested on Feb. 10 and was charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime to commit a felony, larceny over $1,200, and two counts of conspiracy.
