Fall River man arrested on gun and drug charges

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE)- The Fall River Gang and Vice Units and the Metro Boston Gang Task Force worked together to arrest a Fall River man.

According to Captain Jay D. Huard, officers executed a search warrant for the home of 20-year-old Michael Giasson on Thursday.

During the search police found a loaded tan and black pistol, 1.2 lb of marijuana, marijuana bags, and a digital scale.

Giasson was charged with the possession of a firearm and ammunition without an FID card and possession of a Class D drug with intent to distribute.

This is the second time Giasson was arrested on gun charges. He was arrested in July of 2020 for possession of a pistol.
