FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A 44-year-old Fall River man was arrested after police said he pushed a man and slashed his tires with a razor.

According to officials, officers responded to Hartwell Quick Stop around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday for a confrontation.

A man told police that the suspect was known to him and had approached him about money which was owed from four years ago on a job they worked together where they did not get paid.

During the confrontation, according to the man, he told the suspect that he should take up the money issue with the contractor who they had worked for.

After that, the suspect allegedly pulled out a razor knife, pushed him, and then punctured his tires.

Officers identified the suspect as John Dorvil.

They located Dorvil and placed him under arrest without incident.

Dorvil was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon (knife), malicious damage to a motor vehicle, and assault and battery.
