Fall River man held without bail following homicide

FALL RIVER, MASS (WLNE) – A Fall River man was held without bail in Fall River District Court on Thursday for a deadly stabbing that happened on Christmas Eve.
23-year-old Jose Amadore was arraigned in court, accused of stabbing 39-year-old Fall River resident, Gary Werra, which resulted in his death.
Investigators say Amadore and Werra were arguing over a woman before Amadore stabbed Werra multiple times.
Police received a call around 5:30 p.m on Tuesday for a received a call regarding the location of a deceased male (Amadore) in a wooded area behind the Gold Medal Bakery on Bay Street.
Amadore is scheduled to re-appear in court on January 22nd for a Probable Cause hearing.
