Fall River man sentenced for armed robbery
FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — District Attorney Thomas Quinn III said that a 38-year-old man convicted of an armed robbery that happened in Fall River earlier this year has been sentenced.
Shaun Cormier entered the Santander Bank on North Main Street in Fall River on June 7, 2023.
Cormier allegedly waived a knife at a bank teller and demanded money. The teller complied and Cormier fled the building.
Fall River police obtained surveillance video from a business adjacent to the bank parking lot, revealing Cormier’s arrival. After the robbery, Cormier is seen getting back into the car and fleeing the scene.
Authorities gathered surveillance video from the intersection and were able to see Cormier driving the getaway car to his home.
The getaway car, which was later found at a tow yard, contained evidence connected to the robbery.
Cormier has been sentenced to serve three to five years in prison.
