‘He would give you the shirt off his back’: Family mourns loss of motorcycle crash victim

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE)- A man died Saturday after crashing his motorcycle into a car on Eastern Avenue in Fall River.

Fall River police identified the victim as 31-year-old Kory Gray of Tiverton. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

ABC6 News Reporter Hector Molina spoke exclusively with Gray’s family members.

The deadly crash brought tears to the eyes of Amanda Angell and their 13-year-old son Noah.

Though they’ve been separated for 3 years, Amanda and Kory dated for just over a decade and have known each other since elementary school.

She told ABC6 Kory had a love for motorcycles at a young age.

“His father was in a motorcycle club when he was younger so when Kory got old enough, he wanted to be just like his dad. He was really happy to get that bike three months ago…but he only had it for a short period of time.”

Amanda said Kory will be remembered for his smile and most importantly the love he had for his son.

“He would give you the shirt off his back, he was there for everybody and not a lot of people were there for him. He was a good person; he was a great dad…he loved his son to pieces.”

Though he declined to speak on camera…Noah said he’ll miss his father very much but knows he’s with him in spirit.

“Cherish your loved ones every chance you get because you never know when they’ll be gone.”

Fall River Police responded to reports of a motorcycle crash involving serious injury at Eastern Avenue and County Street.

Police say that Gray rear ended a Honda Accord in the intersection.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, no one else was injured in the crash.

The crash is under investigation.
