Fall River Police arrest 3 after alleged assault

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said three men were arrested in connection with an alleged assault on Tuttle Street on July 23.

20-year-old Antony Araujo and 29-year-old Vinicius Dos Santos were charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, while 22-year-old Kevilyn Dasilva was charged with assault and battery.

Police responded to the area around 7:30 p.m. and spoke to a complainant that said that five men threatened to assault them.

The complainant said the men allegedly made threats of a “physical altercation” and said they had firearms, although no firearms were seen.

The three arrested suspects were detained in the area, and after a search no firearms were found.
