Fall River police arrest armed man for shouting death threats at residents

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River police arrested a man Tuesday for allegedly walking South Main Street yelling death threats at passing residents.

Raul Alamo Loran was arrested on Tuesday in the area of 181 South Main Street on charges of disturbing the peace while armed, assault and battery, terroristic threats and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Police responded to calls of a man in the area screaming threats at residents at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday.

After arriving on the scene, officers were told that the man had been threatening to kill people while walking down the street for approximately one hour.

He was also reported to have pushed a female after a verbal argument and he was located further down the street as he continued to disturb the public.
