Fall River police arrest four, seize firearms

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Four individuals were arrested and two firearms were seized by Fall River police Tuesday night.
While conducting surveillance on Pleasant Street, detectives observed two groups of males on the street, and became concerned that there were weapons among the group and that bodily harm was imminent.
A foot pursuit resulted during which detectives took Jovanni Rivera, 18, into custody.
He was carrying a black and gray Glock 48 firearm at the time of his arrest.
Uniformed officers assisted in the incident, taking the remaining three individuals into custody.
This included one more adult, Kyle Pimental, 18, and two juveniles.
Both Rivera and Pimental were charged with carrying a firearm without a license to carry and possession of a large capacity firearm.
The two juveniles also received carrying a firearm without a license to carry, possession of a large capacity firearm and trespassing charges.
