Fall River police arrest juvenile for illegal gun

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River police detectives arrested a 17-year-old male with an outstanding arrest warrant Wednesday near Father Vincent Diaferio Housing Development.

At approximately 4 p.m., the suspect attempted to evade police on foot and was arrested by Vice and Intelligence Gang Unit detectives.

A search of the suspect recovered a loaded 9mm polymer pistol and he was charged with carrying a large capacity firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in public without a license, carrying a firearm without a license and possession of ammunition.
