Fall River police arrest Providence man on drug, gun charges

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A Providence man faces drug trafficking and firearm-related charges, authorities said Friday.
Fall River police arrested Ronny Llenas-Pichardo on Thursday after a lengthy joint investigation with the Providence Police Department’s Narcotics Bureau.
Police said officers took Llenas-Pichardo into custody after they saw him in the middle of a drug deal.
At the time of his arrest, officers reportedly seized 1,950 baggies with about 39 grams of fentanyl and $518 in cash.
Providence police obtained a search warrant for his residence, where they found about 182 grams of fentanyl, a semiautomatic firearm, and drug paraphernalia.
He was charged in Fall River with trafficking 36 grams of fentanyl and two counts of distribution of a class a drug.
He additionally faces several drug and gun charges in Rhode Island.
