Fall River Police identify driver in fatal New Year’s Eve rollover crash

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River police identified the driver killed in a crash on Route 24 in Fall River on New Year’s Eve.

34-year-old Christopher Fernandes, from New Bedford, died from his injuries.

Police arrived on the scene around 7:30 a.m. to find Fernandes trapped in his car after a rollover crash.

He was declared dead on the scene.
