FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE)- Fall River police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that both took place Friday night.

Officers responded to Cottage Street for a report of shots fired just before 9:30 p.m.

An initial investigation showed that no one was hit by gunfire. Police said a three-family home sustained minor damage due to the gunshots.

Investigators found shell casings at the scene.

A second shooting happened about an hour later in the area of County and Rocliffe Streets.

Police said the suspected target was a 36-year-old man, who was driving in the area before someone opened fire on him and his car.

The man fled the scene, went home, and contacted police. Fall River police said the victim was not cooperative with investigators.

He was grazed in the left shoulder and is in stable condition.

Authorities said it seems as though the suspect shot the victim from behind a parked car at the intersection, striking the victim’s car and a nearby home.

Investigators found shell casings at the scene.

The Fall River Police Department is investigating the incident.
