Fall River police investigating fatal New Year’s Eve pedestrian crash

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River police have confirmed a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car on New Year’s Eve.

According to police, the crash happened Tuesday night at the intersection of Plymouth Avenue and Nashua Street where they found a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.

The pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital, but was pronounced deceased.

Police have not confirmed if the driver remained on scene or whether they’re facing charges.
