Fall River Police investigating late-night shooting

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said it was investigating a shooting that occurred on Orange Street on May 9.

Officers responded to the area around 9:45 p.m. to find a victim who had “sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the leg and shoulder.”

The victim was transported to the hospital and was in “stable condition.”

The department said it collected a firearm, a magazine, and multiple shell casings at the scene.

The incident was believed to be isolated and is still under investigation.
