Fall River police release body camera footage of McDonalds incident where 8 juveniles were arrested
FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department released body camera footage of an incident that took place at a McDonalds Wednesday.
The incident ended with eight juveniles placed under arrest.
Around 3 p.m yesterday staff at the restaurant on President Avenue reached out to police, saying a group of juveniles were causing issues in the parking lot.
The department said officers gave the group more than 23 warnings to leave the property or they would be trespassing.
Body camera footage follows an officer in the building speaking with what look like students, asking them to leave, before it cuts to them outside crowding an entrance.
Once the teens returned inside, the officer gave a final warning.
“Last time, all the cruisers in the city are coming. If you’re not sitting down and eating, or just standing, time to go,” he can be heard saying.
The arresting officer is shown bringing the juvenile to the ground to make an arrest as the situation escalated around them
In all, eight other arrests were made for trespassing, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and assault and battery on a officer.
This incident is still under investigation, and no names or photos are being released as each of the individuals involved is a juvenile.
