Fall River Police seize more than 3 kilos of cocaine; largest in dept.’s history

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE)– A search warrant served by the Fall River Police Department and state and federal agents last week has lead to the largest drug seizure in the city’s history, Fall River Police Lt. Jay Huard said in a statement today.

The search at 313 Sunset Hill took in more than 3 kilos of cocaine, over 50 grams of crack cocaine, a number of fentanyl pills, and almost $10,000 in cash, according to the statement.

Two scales and a stun gun were also seized, Huard said.

Milton Bertrand, 48, who police say resides at the Sunset Hill residence, was arrested and charged with:

· Trafficking Cocaine over 200 grams

· Trafficking Class A Drug over 36 grams

· Possession of a Non Large Capacity Firearm

· Possession of a Firearm in commission of a Felony.

“This is the largest drug seizure in department history,” Chief Jeffrey Cardoza said. “We are fully committed to addressing gun violence and drug trafficking in our community.”

Cardoza thanked all the investigators that “worked so diligently on this case.”
