Fall River Public Schools employee arrested on charges of attempted rape of a child
FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Public School Committee said that a former employee resigned after being arrested by Massachusetts State Police for allegedly attempting to meet a minor for sex.
71-year-old Kevin Galloway, of Millis, was charged with attempted rape of a child, pay for sexual conduct with a child, and enticing a child under 16.
State police aid that on June 25 troopers assigned to the High Risk Victims Unit and Brockton police officers arrested Galloway in the parking lot of a hotel.
Galloway was the Facilities Manager at Durfee High School.
Police also said that no minors were victimized as part of the incident.
Fall River Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Tracy Curley released a statement that said that the district was made aware of the arrest and “the individual [was] no longer employed by or affiliated with Fall River Public Schools:”
Fall River Public Schools was recently made aware that an employee had been arrested on serious charges involving alleged conduct occurring outside of school hours and off school property.
The individual is no longer employed by or affiliated with Fall River Public Schools in any capacity. At this time, we have not received any reports indicating that the alleged conduct is in any way connected to the Fall River Public Schools.
