Fall River sex trafficker sentenced, likened conspiracy to ‘playing a game of Tetris’
BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — A Fall River woman was sentenced Wednesday for an August sex trafficking conspiracy conviction.
43-year-old Cory Primo will serve 70 months in prison with five years of supervised release, according to the Massachusetts U.S. Attorney’s Office.
She pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking.
Primo admitted to conspiring with others to traffic an adult woman from Massachusetts along with two minor children in 2023, according to the U.S. Attorney.
Primo said that she initially assisted her co-defendant in selling the victims because she was “broke.”
The defendant communicated with buyers in the conspiracy, sending them photographs of the victims, negotiating prices and scheduling commercial sex acts.
Primo jokingly likened her conduct in the conspiracy to “playing a game of Tetris.”
Acts of violence were encouraged against the victims by Primo, and the defendant dismissed the victims’ situation as long as money was made.
Primo’s alleged co-conspirator is accused of establishing contact with the homeless adult victim and convincing her to quit her job and engage in commercial sex.
The co-defendants are also accused of maintaining control of the victims with violence, alcohol, starvation, sleep deprivation and withholding medical treatment.
