Fall River stab victim dies

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The victim in a Friday night stabbing on Tripp Street in Fall River has died according to Fall River police.

44-year-old Joseph Bump suffered multiple stab wounds and was transported to Saint Anne’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police and paramedics responded to a rooming house where Bump was staying around 10 p.m.

42-year-old Pedro Fernando Orellano Alvarado, another resident of the house, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Alvarado is scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
