FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A teen is due in court Monday after police say he allegedly shot and killed his family member in Fall River on Saturday.

The shooting happened just after noon in a Rodman Street apartment on the third floor of the building.

That’s where officers found 20-year-old Jaleale Simmons who was shot in the chest.

He was taken to Saint Anne’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the 17-year-old suspect lived with Simmons.

He will be arraigned on a murder charge Monday in Fall River District Court.
