Fall River: Warrant leads to drug, gun charges

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE)– Fall River police have arrested a city man after a search of his apartment turned up a firearm, ammunition and drug packaging supplies, according to a statement released today.
While gathering evidence for a warrant, police said they turned up a bag with one gram of heroin in possession of Dwayne Parrish,47, of Plymouth Avenue.
While executing the search warrant, police found a small amount of heroin, two digital scales, and a magazine containing live cartridges of ammunition. A further search turned a .40 caliber firearm, and a safe with over 50 additional live cartridges.
Parrish does not have a a firearms license, and faces additional charge related to a past drug of violent crime arrest, according to police.
