Family and friends organize GoFundMe for Woonsocket man killed after being hit by car

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Family and friends have organized a GoFundMe for a Woonsocket man who died after being hit by a car on July 1.
31-year-old Michael Lefebvre died at Rhode Island Hospital from injuries sustained after police said Andrew Michael Martin allegedly hit him with his car on purpose.
Martin is still at large, as Woonsocket Police have issued an arrest warrant on assault charges to commit murder.
“Mike was such a loving and devoted father, brother to so many, son and friend. If you know Mike you know his princess Sofia was his life! Michael’s two favorite things were his daughter and his work,” the GoFundMe stated.
Lefebvre was also a car enthusiast, according to the post, and the GoFundMe further asks his fellow car enthusiasts to come in their cars to his service on August 4 at the Millerville Club in Blackstone.
“Michael did not deserve any of this. Just a good honest man who loved working and providing for his family. We continue to ask for prayers and love to his family and his beautiful daughter,” it said.
The GoFundMe also stated that the funds will go toward funeral expenses and his daughter, who he leaves behind.
So far, a little over $4,000 has been raised.
