Family and friends remember victims lost in Brown University shooting
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The two victims killed in Saturday’s mass shooting at Brown University have been identified by family and friends.
Brown students Ella Cook and MukhammadAziz Umurzokov were identified as the victims tragically killed in the shooting.
Cook was identified by members of her church in Birmingham, Alabama.
Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin posted a statement about Cook’s death to social media:
The College Republicans of America posted to social media, saying that she served as the organization’s Vice President at Brown.
Umurzokov was also identified as a university student by the U.S. Ambassador to Uzbekistan.
A GoFundMe was created in Umurzokov’s memory by his family.
