Family of 7 displaced after a house fire in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I (WLNE) – The American Red Cross is helping a family of seven who were left homeless after a house fire on Thursday night. 

Firefighters made quick work of the fire coming from the first floor on Potter Street. 

A woman who lives in the home told ABC6 she went to check her brother’s room after her father heard a beeping inside the house, and that is when she was met with a face full of smoke. 

She was able to escape the house with her family and her 3 dogs. 

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
