Family of recently passed pizza patriarch trying to restart Cranston business
CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A local mom and pop pizza shop is mourning the loss of its pop, and hoping its popularity among customers can lead to a lasting legacy.
Albertino’s Pizza in Cranston closed shortly after its owner, Al Neilson, died in early December.
Al’s daughter Toni, is now trying to reopen the restaurant as Al’s Legacy Pizza.
In a GoFundMe for the business, Toni, said, “Albertino’s was never just about pizza; it was about people, and it showed.”
