Fans create Liam Payne memorials in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Fans of former One Direction member Liam Payne have left flower, notes, and pictures at memorials in Providence to remember the singer.

Payne died after falling from a third-story balcony at a hotel in Argentina on Oct. 17.

The memorials could be found at Waterplace Park and India Point Park.

Officials are still investigating Payne’s death, but an autopsy found cocaine in his system and ruled he died from trauma sustained from the fall.
