Fans travel near and far for iconic Army-Navy football game
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — For people like Brian Wraalstad, the iconic Army-Navy matchup means a lot.
Wraalstad traveled all the way from Wisconsin for Saturday’s game.
“I am a big football fan, I know this is kind of America’s game,” Wraalstad said. “I have a son who is a plebe and plays for Army’s football team. We have not been to a game yet this season with our schedules so we got tickets to come here, so we are excited to be here.”
Fans were entertained by College Gameday’s morning show and a fan fest was set up outside of Gillette stadium to add to the spirit of America’s game.
“We planned for it to be colder and being from Wisconsin we are used to the weather being cold so it is actually warmer than we expected. It is beautiful, it is sunny, a little breezy, but it is excellent,” Wraalstad said.
