Fashion takes center stage in Providence this weekend

StyleWeek Northeast returns showcasing some of the best designers from around the country.

To end the shows on Saturday night, StyleWeek’s founder Rosanna Ortiz turned to Rhode Island born and bred designer, Amy Page DeBlasio.

Her turn toward designing wearable art started with an assignment while she attended the Gordon School.

Her Rhode Island training continued at URI and now, she works out of a studio in Pawtucket’s Hope Artiste Village.

She spends a lot of time crafting her clothes; using lots of color and unique fabric.

Amy’s latest collection hits the runway Saturday night.

StyleWeek is at the RI Convention Thursday through Sunday.
