Fatal fire in Middleborough

MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Middleborough Fire Department responded to a fatal fire on Ashley Lane Sunday.

Crews arrived around 10 a.m. to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the first and second floors from a combined condo building.

One adult was pronounced dead on the scene, while two other residents and one firefighter were transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Two adjacent buildings suffered damage.
