Father and son arrested by Blackstone Police for drug, firearm charges

BLACKSTONE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Blackstone Police Department said that a father and son were arrested on drug and gun charges.
45-year-old Michael Pitler was charged with possession of a Class B substance, while 21-year-old Zachary Pitler faces 12 charges, including trafficking cocaine, possession of a firearm without a license, and intent to distribute multiple substances.
Officers executed a warrant in the area of Michelle Lane on Feb. 16 after a months-long investigation.
Both suspects were arrested, with Michael arraigned the same day and Zachary expected to be arraigned on Feb. 20.
The department was assisted by the Milford Police Department, the Blackstone Valley Drug and Counter Crime Task Force, the Worcester DEA Tactical Diversion Squadron, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
